Boats and projects
This section covers boats and projects described in the channel’s history; it is not a current ownership register.
Sailing Dark Angel has a 2006 Island Spirit Fortunate 401 catamaran.
Their boat needed some work and they’ve added:
- Acuva water purifier
- iCom VHF radio and AIS
- Harken 44ST power winch
For another older cruising boat and its projects, see Sailing Liberty.
Journeys and notable episodes
They have sailed around the United States and Bahamas so far, with their eyes on the South Pacific or the Mediterranean in the future.
I’m pretty sure they haven’t been featured on any other channels, but if you have seen them, let me know and I can update this article.
Their journey has been pretty easy, and apart from their power winch failing once, there hasn’t been anything else that has thrown them off their journey.
Readers interested in more independent sailing stories can explore Adventures of an Old Sea Dog and Sam Holmes Sailing.
Income and funding
The channel’s income cannot be established from views or subscriber counts alone. Advertising rates, audience support and commercial agreements vary, while filming, travel and boat expenses affect what is left after costs.
The earlier profile describes the following sources of revenue. These do not establish a verified monthly earnings total.
- Selling their own merchandise
- Allowing advertisers on their channel
